Report: 3 Ravens free agents could bring to the Dolphins as defensive coordinator

After parting ways with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, the Miami Dolphins have appointed Anthony Weaver as their new defensive coordinator, and there’s speculation about potential Ravens free agents he might bring to the team:

  1. Patrick Queen: Linebacker Patrick Queen had an impressive season with 84 total tackles, 10 stuffs, six passes defended, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, an interception, and a fumble recovery. Despite the Dolphins facing salary cap constraints, the Pro Bowler’s skill set makes him an attractive option, and Weaver’s connection with him from their time in Baltimore could play a role.

  1. Justin Madubuike: With the Dolphins prioritizing the re-signing of defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, Justin Madubuike could be a viable replacement if Wilkins explores free agency. Madubuike, who earned Pro Bowl honors, had an outstanding season with 56 tackles, 13 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 3.5 sacks. Weaver’s previous work with Madubuike in Baltimore could be advantageous for the Dolphins.
  2. Malik Harrison: Recognizing the importance of linebacker depth, especially after injuries plagued the position group in the previous season, Malik Harrison could be a sensible addition. With four years of experience as an inside linebacker with the Ravens, Harrison brings 120 total tackles, 73 solo tackles, 6.5 stuffs, and one pass defended to the table. Adding Harrison could provide the Dolphins with a cost-effective solution to bolster their inside linebackers group.
