Pre-Signing Day Update: Alabama Commits and Targets in Top247 Rankings
With the Early Signing Period approaching, the 247Sports Scouting Team released an updated Top247 Player Rankings for the 2025 cycle. Alabama, which currently holds the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation with 22 commitments, saw minimal changes to its rankings.
Highlights from the Update:
- Five-star QB Keelon Russell (Duncanville, TX) climbed to No. 2 overall after a stellar senior season.
- Five-star OL Michael Carroll (Bradenton, FL) held steady at No. 13 overall.
- Five-star CB Dijon Lee (Mission Viejo, CA) remained at No. 15 overall.
- Five-star OT Ty Haywood (Denton, TX) stayed at No. 20 overall.
Other top commits include four-star safety Ivan Taylor (No. 41), running back Akylin Dear (No. 60), and cornerback Chuck McDonald (No. 97).
Movements:
- Tight end Kaleb Edwards dropped one spot to No. 131.
- Linebacker Darrell Johnson fell three spots to No. 152, while tight end Marshall Pritchett slid five spots to No. 227.
Among three-star prospects, running back Jace Clarizio improved his overall grade, moving from an 88 to 89.
Remaining Targets:
- Four-star LSU WR commit Derek Meadows (Las Vegas, NV) holds at No. 46.
- Four-star Auburn S commit Anquon Fegans (Alabaster, AL) stays at No. 79.
- Three-star Ole Miss CB commit Maison Dunn (Tupelo, MS) rose to No. 144 overall.
With 48 hours to go before signing day, Alabama continues to track several top prospects and prepare for a strong finish to its already impressive 2025 recruiting class.
