Bills’ Khalil Shakir Describes Teammate’s Performance With One Word. The Buffalo Bills advanced to an 8-2 record after a 30-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, with receiver Mack Hollins stepping up in a significant way. Initially on the fringes of the offense with only two catches for 27 yards, Hollins has become more involved in Joe Brady’s system over the last two weeks. He recorded five catches for 30 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins and followed that with four catches for 86 yards in the win over the Colts. Fellow receiver Khalil Shakir expressed excitement over Hollins’ performance, calling it uplifting.
“Dude’s an animal,” Shakir said. “Seeing him make those big-time plays, like before halftime, the scramble drill, and a few sideline catches, it was awesome. He was fired up, getting everyone hyped. He’s the guy who puts his head down and works hard in the run game, so watching it all come together and seeing him excel was incredible.” Although Hollins didn’t receive many targets in the win over the Colts, he made the most of his opportunities with four catches from four targets, including plays of 16, 44, 19, and seven yards, contributing to the team’s offensive drive.

With their “everybody eats” approach fueling one of the top offenses in the league (averaging 29.0 points per game, ranked third), the Bills are well-positioned for a deep playoff run. Their form will be tested in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but with Hollins and the rest of Josh Allen’s offensive arsenal performing well, Buffalo stands a strong chance of handing the Chiefs their first defeat of the season.
