Latest Update: Bills’ Veteran Wants Trade

Bills Veteran Seeks Trade

The Buffalo Bills, currently sitting at 6-2 with a solid four-game lead in the AFC East and ranking in the top 10 for both points scored and allowed, are enjoying a strong season. However, not everyone within the organization is fully satisfied. As the Bills head into their Week 9 matchup against the Miami Dolphins—a game that could put them five games ahead in their division—one veteran player is reportedly looking for a fresh opportunity.

“Veteran Buffalo safety Mike Edwards is available and would like to go somewhere he can play (he has been a steady inactive),” ESPN Insider Jeremy Fowler shared in his weekly ‘NFL buzz’ column.

Edwards, a two-time Super Bowl champion, has started 28 career games and joined the Bills on a one-year contract this past March after the team restructured its defensive backfield. With Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer departing in free agency, the Bills aimed to bring in younger, faster options. But despite his experience, Edwards has seen limited action as a healthy scratch for much of the season. Now, it seems he’s open to moving to a team where he can make a more active contribution.
