Erin Andrews shared an inside look at the ongoing tension between Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver and former star quarterback Tom Brady. Since his rookie year, Oliver has made a name for himself in the NFL as a top defensive tackle, recently securing a four-year, $68 million contract. Over his six seasons, he’s also built a rivalry with Brady, beginning when they faced off during Brady’s time with the Patriots and continuing into Brady’s Buccaneers years. Early on, Oliver tackled Brady twice in a single game, even enduring a moment when Brady appeared to try tripping him. Their clashes continued in 2021, including a heated exchange when Oliver stepped over Brady after a tackle, which led to a shoving match between the two.

On the “Calm Down” podcast with Charissa Thompson, Andrews shared her encounter with Oliver before the Bills’ game against the Seahawks, which Brady was covering as a Fox analyst. Andrews described Oliver as a “dream,” noting his fun personality and memorable answers. Before the game, she introduced Oliver to Brady. Seizing the moment, Oliver greeted Brady with a well-timed jab, saying, “Hey, you miss me?”—a line that had Andrews and her colleague Kevin Burkhardt laughing. The Bills went on to dominate the game, beating Seattle 31-10, with Oliver contributing four tackles and a quarterback hit.
