When the Dallas Cowboys meet the San Francisco 49ers, Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland will not be playing again.
Dallas Cowboys’ star pass rusher Micah Parsons and All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland will both be sidelined for their upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. Parsons, dealing with a high ankle sprain, has now been ruled out for a third consecutive game—the first injury-related absence in his career. Bland, meanwhile, remains on injured reserve after undergoing surgery for a preseason foot stress fracture. Last year, Bland set an NFL record with five pick-sixes in one season.
With Parsons out, the Cowboys (3-3) face their third straight game without their top two pass rushers, as DeMarcus Lawrence is also on injured reserve due to a foot injury. Parsons sustained his ankle injury during a 20-15 win over the New York Giants and has since missed games against Pittsburgh and Detroit. His only previous game missed was due to COVID-19 in 2021, his AP Defensive Rookie of the Year season.
Additionally, linebacker Eric Kendricks and rookie cornerback Caelen Carson are questionable for the game against the 49ers (3-4) with shoulder injuries. Kendricks has already missed one game, while Carson has been out for three as he filled in for Bland earlier in the season.
