BREAKING NEWS: USC Trojans Flip Elite Defensive Lineman From Florida State

The USC Trojans may have taken a tough loss to Penn State last Saturday, dropping to 3-3, but their recruiting efforts remain strong. Recently, they secured a commitment from 4-star 2026 EDGE rusher Braden Jones and flipped Mississippi State safety commit Stephen Miller. Now, they are targeting another top recruit—this time from Florida State.

According to On3.com’s Steve Wiltfong, USC is currently the frontrunner to flip defensive lineman Kevin Wynn from his Florida State commitment. After Wynn’s visit to USC’s campus, the Trojans have gained momentum over other schools like Georgia.

“USC made a huge impression on him,” Wiltfong noted, praising the efforts of USC’s coaching staff, including Coach Henderson, Coach Nua, D’Anton Lynn, and head coach Lincoln Riley. He highlighted how USC’s defense has improved this year and is becoming more attractive to recruits.

Kevin Wynn, a 6’2″, 325-pound defensive lineman from Greensboro, GA, is one of the top prospects in the 2025 class. Committed to Florida State since June, Wynn has also drawn interest from schools like Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas.

Landing Wynn would be a major win for USC and their first true defensive tackle in the 2025 class.
