JUST IN: Arkansas Head coach confirms return of top talented star and other key players from injury.

Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman is hopeful that quarterback Taylen Green will be available for the upcoming game against LSU. On Monday, Pittman shared his optimism about Green’s recovery after he left the Razorbacks’ win over Tennessee in the fourth quarter with a bone bruise. Fortunately, Arkansas had a bye in Week 7, giving Green additional time to heal.

Green suffered a bone bruise in the win over Tennessee but has made progress during the team’s bye week. He has been practicing daily, though Pittman noted they are still monitoring his recovery and expect more clarity closer to game day. While Green’s status isn’t yet certain, there is optimism that he’ll be able to take the field against LSU. He participated in a team walk-through on Thursday, which Pittman noted was possible regardless of his injury status. Since then, Green has practiced daily.

“We’re hopeful he’ll be ready,” Pittman said. “I believe he will be, but we’ll need to assess him a bit more. I’ll likely know more by Tuesday or Wednesday, but we’re optimistic he’ll be able to play.”
