Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the highly-touted twin sons of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, have narrowed their college options to the University of Miami and Duke, with an announcement likely coming soon. The Boozer brothers, standout players for Columbus High School in Miami, are considered two of the top recruits in the 2025 class. Cameron, the No. 2 overall player and top-ranked power forward, and Cayden, rated as the No. 4 point guard and No. 21 overall, have drawn interest from several major programs, including Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, and Florida State. However, they have the closest ties to Duke, where their father played and won a national championship, and to their hometown Miami Hurricanes.
Carlos Boozer played for Duke from 1999 to 2002, helping the Blue Devils win the 2001 national title. The twins have also developed strong connections with Miami’s program, having grown up nearby and frequently interacting with coach Jim Larranaga. Cayden highlighted his familiarity with the Hurricanes, mentioning their proximity to his home and his long history with the coaching staff.
In a January 2024 interview, he noted how they were “pushing the hometown kid” narrative. Meanwhile, his official visit to Duke left a strong impression, with Cayden praising the electric atmosphere. The Boozer twins have led Columbus to three consecutive state titles and have dominated in AAU, winning three Nike EYBL Peach Jam championships with the Nightrydas. Cameron has averaged 20.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, while Cayden has contributed 16.6 points, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game over their high school careers.
