JUST IN: Nebraska land commitment of a speedy wide receiver star

Nebraska has bolstered its 2026 recruiting class by securing a commitment from speedy wide receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte (6-2, 190) out of Sioux Falls, SD. As the Cornhuskers head into their bye week with an impressive 5-1 record, the addition of Bonwell-Witte adds to the positive momentum surrounding the program.

Projected to play on offense under wide receivers coach Garret McGuire, who played a key role in his recruitment, Bonwell-Witte is expected to make an impact.

Ranked as the second-best player in South Dakota, Bonwell-Witte had offers from schools like Oklahoma, Minnesota, Kansas State, and Wisconsin. With his size and length, he fits the mold of Nebraska’s current wide receiver corps, which has embraced bigger-bodied receivers to give the offense a new dynamic.

Bonwell-Witte, a 3-star prospect, is the second player to join Nebraska’s 2026 class, alongside Dayton Raiola, the younger brother of Dylan Raiola. With talent like this continuing to roll in, the future of Nebraska’s offense looks bright. Go Big Red!
