Nebraska commit Malcolm Simpson, a four-star defensive lineman, is attracting attention from other schools despite his commitment in June. The Hitchcock, Texas defender has been performing well, tallying around 25-30 tackles and three sacks in five games this season. Although he’s pleased with his defensive disruption, Simpson wants to increase his sack numbers.
His standout performances have caught the eye of new teams, but Simpson remains a Nebraska commit after visiting Lincoln for his only official visit.
Malcolm Simpson, a four-star defensive lineman committed to Nebraska for the 2025 class, recently took an unofficial visit to Texas during their game against Louisiana-Monroe. While Simpson has not officially received a Texas offer yet, the Longhorns are showing increasing interest in flipping him before signing day.
Texas defensive line coach Kenny Baker has been in contact with Simpson, and there are ties to other Texas recruits, including a former teammate. This recruitment could intensify if Simpson returns to Texas for another visit
