JUST IN: Huge boost for Packers as Matt LaFleur confirms return of 3 key players from horrible injury.

Packers Injury Report: Three Players Return, but Six Miss Practice

On Wednesday, three Green Bay Packers players made their return to practice ahead of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, including one designated to return from injured reserve.

Cornerback Carrington Valentine, who had missed the last two games due to an ankle injury, was back on the field. After being limited in practice last week but missing Friday and the game against the Vikings, his return is a positive sign. Rookie Jordan Morgan, a first-round pick, also returned after missing two games with a shoulder injury. He had rotated at right guard in the first two games and could see this week as a ramp-up opportunity. Defensive tackle Jonathan Ford, who had injured his calf in the preseason finale, was designated for return from injured reserve.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine (24) defends a pass in the end zone to Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. during the preseason.

Six players, however, did not practice, including key contributors:

– Wide receiver Christian Watson, who suffered a mild high-ankle sprain against Minnesota, is “unlikely” to land on injured reserve despite the injury initially looking serious.
– Cornerback Jaire Alexander, who missed the Vikings game due to quad and groin injuries.
– Tight end Luke Musgrave, who has struggled in the first four games of the season.
– Defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, a standout with a tackle for loss in each of the first four games, who suffered an ankle injury late against the Vikings.
– Defensive tackle Kenny Clark, limited by a toe injury, was present for the pre-practice stretch but did not participate.
– Left guard Elgton Jenkins, out with a knee injury.

While the Packers are dealing with injuries, the Rams are also banged up, with wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua out for Sunday’s game.

The situation will be monitored as injury reports are updated throughout the week.
