Samuel originally pledged to Syracuse on March 30 as a 2026 recruit but flipped to Florida on July 31. His recent visit to Florida was for their season opener against Miami, and he had expressed interest in taking future visits. Samuel is ranked as the No. 242 overall player and No. 21 safety in the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
