Four-star guard Simon Walker is set to announce his college decision live on 247Sports. As commitments for the 2025 class begin to pick up, another Top150 recruit is preparing to make his choice.
Simon Walker, ranked No. 134 overall in the nation, will reveal his decision on Thursday, September 26th at 5:00 PM CT, live on 247Sports. The 6-foot-5 combo guard from Huntsville, Alabama, will be choosing between his three finalists: Auburn, Iowa, and Virginia Tech.
Regarding Auburn, Walker shared, “It’s closer compared to the others, but I’m really looking forward to spending more time with coach Pearl and the staff. I’ve gotten to know them over the last few years and I’m excited to explore how I might fit into their program.”
Of Iowa, Walker said, “It was a fun experience. The size of the school made it unique, and it was my first time attending a football game during an official visit. It was a rivalry game, so the campus was buzzing. After watching individual and team workouts, I can see my fit in the program. I also bonded with the coaches and made new friends on the team.”

As for Virginia Tech, Walker noted, “I enjoyed getting to know the staff during the process. They run a high-level program in a major conference.”
Known for his shooting ability, Walker is also a high-IQ guard who excels in setting up teammates, reading the floor, and providing leadership and energy on the court. During his time with Pro One on the UAA Circuit, he averaged 12.1 points, 3.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.
