However, some concerns have arisen about the depth of their interior defensive line. Veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark is dealing with a toe injury and has had a slow start to the season.
Bleacher Report’s Matt Holder suggests that Denver Broncos defensive tackle D.J. Jones could be a valuable addition to the Packers’ lineup. To acquire Jones, the Packers would need to make a trade, potentially offering a future Day 3 draft pick, such as a fifth-round selection. Jones is in the final year of his three-year, $30 million contract, and Denver might be open to trading him for draft capital.
Jones, who has started all three games for the Broncos this season, could provide depth and versatility on Green Bay’s defensive line, as he’s capable of playing various positions. While he might not be an elite player, his experience would complement Clark and strengthen the Packers’ defense.
Although it’s unclear whether the Packers will pursue this trade, it could be worth considering, especially if Clark’s injury continues to affect his performance.
