Josh Allen on Facing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in AFC Championship Game
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is gearing up for a tough challenge as his team prepares to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. After leading the Bills past the Baltimore Ravens to advance in the NFL playoffs, Allen shared his thoughts on facing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs again, with a Super Bowl trip on the line.
Allen has a solid 4-1 record against the Chiefs during regular-season play but has struggled in the postseason, with a 0-3 record in previous playoff matchups.
When asked about the upcoming AFC Championship Game and what makes this matchup different, Allen acknowledged the Chiefs as a “perennial” powerhouse in the NFL. “They’re what you want to be,” he said, emphasizing the challenge of overcoming them to advance.
Allen remained focused on the task ahead, saying, “We know what they are. They’re the perennial of what you want to be in the NFL. You gotta beat them to get past them. So, we’re going to enjoy this one tonight and turn our attention to the Chiefs tomorrow.”
