Top 25 Recruit Malachi Moreno to Announce College Decision Live on 247Sports
Malachi Moreno, the nation’s No. 25 overall recruit, is set to reveal his college choice live on 247Sports this Friday at 11:00 AM ET. The 6-foot-11, 230-pound big man from Great Crossing High School in Georgetown, Kentucky, will make his announcement during a ceremony at his school on August 16th.
Moreno has narrowed his options to eight schools: Arkansas, Indiana, Louisville, Iowa, Ohio State, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Notre Dame.
This announcement will make Moreno just the third Top 25 prospect to commit this year. In a recent conversation with 247Sports, Moreno shared insights into some of his final choices ahead of his decision.
Ranked as the No. 3 center in the nation, Moreno is recognized as one of the top big men in the country. Over the past year, he has shown significant growth, particularly in using his size and physicality to dominate the boards, protect the rim, and overpower defenders in the post. His skill set includes effective post-scoring and paint-finishing, with potential to further develop his outside shooting.
Whichever school lands Moreno will be securing a highly valuable player capable of contributing as a rebounder, rim protector, and screener, with promising upside for further development.
