BREAKING: USC Trojans Land Commitment Of A 4-Star Former Auburn Top Man

USC Trojans Secure Crystal Ball for 4-Star Former Auburn Commit

After a period of several decommitments, the USC Trojans appear to be bouncing back. Following a commitment from wide receiver Corey Simms on Sunday, they have now secured a commitment from local offensive lineman Elijah Vaikona.

Additionally, Tom Loy of 247 Sports has made a crystal ball prediction that 4-star offensive lineman Carde Smith will commit to USC. Smith, a 6’5″, 293-pound offensive tackle from Mobile, Alabama, was previously committed to Auburn. After his official visit to USC in June, he decommitted, sparking speculation about his potential move to the Trojans.

Although nothing is final until Letters of Intent are signed in December, this prediction is a positive sign for USC after a challenging few weeks. If Smith commits, he will be the third offensive lineman in USC’s 2025 class. Both the 2023 and 2024 classes included five offensive linemen each, suggesting that Head Coach Lincoln Riley and Offensive Line Coach Josh Henson may still be looking to add more talent.

Receiver Corey Simms: 'USC is the place for me because it has the total package'

According to Cooper Petagna of 247 Sports, Smith displays excellent athleticism at the right tackle position. He uses his size and frame effectively to dominate defenders and shows explosive quickness off the line of scrimmage. Smith excels as a run blocker and possesses natural power and strength, although he may need a year or two of coaching to develop as a pass protector.

No official announcement date has been set, but a decision from Smith is expected soon.
