Just one day after committing to the Kentucky Wildcats, Ohio State extended an offer to Class of 2025 wide receiver Preston Bowman. Despite this new interest from the Buckeyes, Bowman remains committed to Kentucky. He announced his commitment on Saturday after visiting Lexington earlier in the week. Before Ohio State’s offer, his top choices included Kentucky, Michigan, and Louisville.
Bowman, a 3-star prospect from Pickerington North, told KSR that he is firmly committed to Kentucky. His first Division I offer came from Kentucky in the summer of 2022. Following the dismissal of Scott Woodward, new receivers coach Daikiel Shorts reassessed Bowman, leading to a renewed offer from Kentucky through Vince Marrow and Shorts.
Bowman is the third wide receiver to commit to Kentucky’s 2025 class, joining Quinton Simmons and Ja’Kayden Ferguson. In his junior year, Bowman recorded 43 receptions for 713 yards and nine touchdowns.
