Seahawks Sign UFL Offensive Standout to Deal
The Seahawks bolstered their backfield on Monday by signing running back Ricky Person Jr.
Person Jr. amassed over 2,000 yards from scrimmage during his four seasons at North Carolina State. He joined the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad before moving to the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions.
In 2023, Person saw limited action as a backup but took on a larger role this past season, scoring six touchdowns and rushing for 102 yards in the championship game.
In Seattle, Person will compete for a roster spot behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. He will be up against 2023 seventh-round pick Kenny McIntosh and undrafted rookies George Holani and Kobe Lewis.
Additionally, the Seahawks announced they have waived three undrafted rookies: cornerback Ro Torrence, defensive end Rason Williams, and running back TaMerik Williams.
