Oregon Softball Adds Transfer Pitcher Lyndsey Grein from Virginia Tech
The Oregon Ducks softball team is bolstering its pitching staff through the transfer portal. Virginia Tech sophomore transfer Lyndsey Grein signed with Oregon on Friday, as announced by the team. Grein, a right-hander, posted a 12-5 record with a 2.89 ERA and 134 strikeouts last season for the Hokies.
With the graduation of pitchers Morgan Scott and Raegen Breedlove, and Stevie Hansen transferring, Oregon needed to reinforce its pitching lineup. Grein’s addition aims to strengthen the Ducks’ roster as they prepare for their first season in the Big Ten Conference.
