Gators Secure Commitment from Punter Hayden Craig
Florida has added punter Hayden Craig to their 2025 recruiting class. Craig, from North Bridgton (ME) Bridgton Academy, committed to the Gators on Wednesday after a campus visit on Tuesday. Sources informed Swamp247 that Craig will receive a scholarship.
The Gators currently have one scholarship punter, senior Jeremy Crawshaw, who will exhaust his eligibility at the end of the upcoming season. They also have walk-on punter Jack Muse, who joined the team this spring. The plan has been to add a scholarship punter for the future, a goal now achieved with Craig’s commitment.
With this addition, Florida’s 2025 recruiting class now includes five commitments: four-star edge Jalen Wiggins from Tallahassee (Fla.) James Rickards, four-star running back Waltez Clark from Tampa (Fla.) Plant, three-star defensive lineman Jeramiah McCloud from Havana (Fla.) Gadsden County, and three-star running back Chad Gasper from Fulshear (TX) Katy Jordan.
Although currently unrated on 247Sports, Craig is a four-star punter on Kohls kicking service and ranked as the No. 18 punter and No. 56 kicker by Kohls. Their scouting review praises Craig’s performance at the 2024 Kohl’s Eastern Showcase Camp in May, highlighting his strong showing in both field goals and kickoffs, and his D1-level punting skills. Craig has demonstrated impressive leg talent as a combo kicker/punter, capable of enhancing a college team’s roster.
With their five commitments, Florida’s 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 64 overall on 247Sports team recruiting rankings.
