Breaking: Saints Announces the departure of a key man

Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is considered a suitable addition for the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys, although possessing one of the top wide receivers in CeeDee Lamb, need more than just one dominant receiver in today’s NFL. With Lamb currently in contract negotiations and missing voluntary workouts, the need for additional wide receiver talent is evident.

Brandin Cooks is a reliable option but past his prime, and the depth behind him, including Jalen Tolbert and rookie Ryan Flournoy, raises concerns. Consequently, Dallas could benefit significantly from signing a seasoned player like Thomas.

ESPN analyst names Dallas Cowboys as best fit for former New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas

ESPN recently suggested that the Cowboys are an ideal fit for Thomas. Despite his injury history, which has limited him to only 20 games over the past four seasons, Thomas remains a capable receiver when healthy. A one-year deal with Dallas could be beneficial, allowing him to compete for the No. 3 receiver spot and contribute alongside Lamb and Cooks.

Thomas, who led the NFL in receptions in 2018 and 2019 and in receiving yards in 2019, has struggled with injuries since then, playing sparingly over the last few years. His experience and skills could elevate the Cowboys’ receiving corps, providing a valuable veteran presence and a more secure option at the WR3 position.
