Cameron Sparks Commits to Virginia Tech

Three-star wide receiver Cameron Sparks, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound standout from Chattanooga, TN, announced his commitment to Virginia Tech. Sparks chose the Hokies over Arkansas and Mississippi State. According to 247Sports, he is the 60th-ranked athlete in the Class of 2025 and the 22nd-ranked player in Tennessee, while the 247Sports Composite ranks him as the 18th-ranked athlete and 12th-ranked player in the state.

During the NBC broadcast, Sparks emphasized that Virginia Tech felt like family and praised the offensive system under coordinator Tyler Bowen. His size and route-running ability were highlighted as key attributes the Hokies need moving forward.

In an interview with 247Sports, Sparks also credited head coach Brent Pry and wide receivers coach Fontel Mines for making Virginia Tech an appealing destination. Mines, known as a strong recruiter, played a pivotal role in securing Sparks’ commitment.

Paired with fellow Class of 2025 recruit Micah Matthews, Sparks could form a dynamic receiving duo poised to make an early impact. This commitment is a significant win for Virginia Tech as they build for the future.
