Despite having committed to USC in March, four-star safety Hylton Stubbs from Jacksonville’s Mandarin High School remains a key target for the Florida Gators. During the spring evaluation period, three Florida coaches, including co-defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong and defensive back coach Will Harris, visited Mandarin on Tuesday.
They observed the team’s practice and also had a conversation with Stubbs. Florida’s message to Stubbs remains consistent: they will continue to pursue him until the end.
Stubbs shared, “I got a chance to talk with Coach Armstrong and Coach Harris for a little bit. They told me how they are going to keep fighting like how they started with my recruitment. They aren’t going to stop recruiting me. They are just going to keep going. That is their deal.”
