JUST IN: Clemson QB Cade Klubnik Announces Major Career Decision

After the Clemson Tigers finished the 2024 college football season with a 10-4 record, including a tough 38-24 loss to Texas in the College Football Playoff, starting quarterback Cade Klubnik took to social media to announce his decision about the future. Klubnik revealed that he would be returning to Clemson for his fourth season, having served as the team’s full-time starter in both 2023 and 2024. “The story isn’t over,” Klubnik stated. “See y’all in 2025.” ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that with Klubnik’s return, Clemson could enter the 2025 season as a top-five team.

In the 2024 season, Klubnik threw for 36 touchdowns and 3,639 yards, with a completion rate of 63.4%. He also rushed for 463 yards and seven touchdowns. Over his three years with the Tigers, Klubnik has accumulated 57 touchdowns, 7,180 yards, and 18 interceptions. Klubnik, ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2022 recruiting class by 247Sports, originally committed to Clemson under head coach Dabo Swinney. He was also pursued by major programs like Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Miami, and Michigan.
