Lakers Injury Report: LA Starter Expected To Miss Multiple Games

In the Lakers’ injury update, it seems that a crucial member of their starting lineup is expected to be absent for multiple games, adding to the team’s ongoing challenges. According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, veteran small forward Cam Reddish is anticipated to miss “a few games” due to a persistent knee issue.

Reddish, who has been utilized in various roles, started 26 out of 33 games in his debut season with the Lakers and has been averaging 6.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 steals. Despite Coach Darvin Ham valuing Reddish for his defensive contributions, recent struggles with shooting led to his benching, though he was briefly reinstated as a starter in the absence of Rui Hachimura. With Hachimura back in the recent game against the Utah Jazz, Reddish surprisingly regained the starting position. The injury to Reddish will likely influence Coach Ham’s decisions, hopefully without opting for another non-shooting forward like Jarred Vanderbilt over Hachimura in the future.
