Ravens News: 2 free agents to avoid signing in 2024 NFL free agency

The Baltimore Ravens, coming off a near-miss in the AFC Conference Championship, are gearing up for the offseason. While they have areas to address, they must proceed with caution in free agency. Here are two players they should think twice about signing:

Steelers' Chase Claypool says he's a top-three receiver in the NFL, gives out his stat projections for 2022 - CBSSports.com

  1. Chase Claypool, WR: The Ravens have historically struggled to secure a top-tier wide receiver during the Lamar Jackson era. While last season saw improvements in their receiving corps, the need for another weapon remains. While Chase Claypool might seem like a tempting option given his potential and relatively young age, his recent lack of productivity and rumored locker room issues make him a risky investment.
  2. Austin Ekeler, RB: Despite the Ravens’ strong running game, they face uncertainty with several key running backs hitting free agency. While Austin Ekeler has shown flashes of brilliance in the past, his recent decline in performance, coupled with injury concerns and workload, make him a questionable choice. Instead, pursuing established options like Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry would provide more stability and potential impact for the team.
