The Rangers have agreed to a contract extension with forward Jonny Brodzinski, as announced by team president and GM Chris Drury on Wednesday.
Brodzinski has become an integral part of the Rangers’ lineup this season, demonstrating his value on the ice.
In 37 games, he has contributed four goals, 11 assists, and boasts a plus-four rating, showcasing his effectiveness. Recently, he has been fulfilling the role of center on the third line alongside Will Cuylle and Kaapo Kakko.
Although Brodzinski has been with the Rangers since the 2020-21 season, he has seen significantly increased playing time this year.
Prior to joining the Rangers, Brodzinski spent three seasons with the Los Angeles Kings and one season with the San Jose Sharks.
While details of the new contract were not disclosed, Brodzinski is currently earning $775,000 for the season.
