MONSTER COMMITMENT :Virginia Tech Lands Major Commitment from 5-Star WR Over Three ACC Rivals

Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry and his staff continue to shine on the recruiting trail. While the Hokies have assembled strong recruiting classes recently, their focus has now shifted to building a stellar Class of 2026.

Although the Hokies lost a key commitment from Nazareth, Pa. quarterback Peyton Falzone last November, Pry and his team bounced back with a significant win. On Monday, during the nationally televised Under Armour Next All-American Game on ESPN2, four-star wide receiver Cnarell Warren from Bluffton, South Carolina, announced his commitment to Virginia Tech.

As a junior, Warren delivered an impressive season, recording 59 receptions for 846 yards and 14 touchdowns. He chose Virginia Tech over other ACC schools, including Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech, citing a strong connection with the coaching staff.

“Virginia Tech is a great school, and after my first visit this summer, I knew it was the place I wanted to play on Saturdays,” Warren shared. “The coaching staff, especially Coach Brent Pry, laid out exactly what I needed to do to succeed at Virginia Tech. They kept it real with me, and that honesty made all the difference.”

This commitment is a significant recruiting victory for the Hokies, outpacing competition from Duke’s Manny Diaz, Georgia Tech’s Brent Key, and a transitioning Wake Forest program. Warren’s decision marks a promising start for Virginia Tech’s Class of 2026.
