Dixon’s move follows that of former Broncos defensive backs coach Christian Parker, who is set to join the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff, as reported earlier in the week by sources informed by The Post.

Dixon, who spent two seasons with the Broncos, worked under defensive coordinators Ejiro Evero in 2022 and Vance Joseph in 2023. Notably, Dixon and Parker were the sole remaining coaches from Evero’s previous staff.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton expressed admiration for Parker and Dixon ahead of the 2023 season, noting their passion, talent, and potential upside.

Before his stint with the Broncos, Dixon served as an assistant defensive line coach for the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season, culminating in a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. During his playing career, Dixon saw time with the Cowboys, Jets, Chiefs, and Titans.

In Minnesota, Dixon will be under the guidance of defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

Additionally, the Broncos have made moves in their scouting department, including the hiring of Cody Rager from the New Orleans Saints as vice president of player personnel, as well as the expected appointment of former Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. as a senior offensive assistant.

However, these changes pale in comparison to the extensive alterations made to the coaching staff over the past two offseasons, which saw changes in head coaches, defensive coordinators, and offensive coordinators.

If Payton chooses to continue his trend of hiring coaches from his tenure with the New Orleans Saints, potential candidates to replace Dixon include Saints pass rush specialist Brian Young, who spent five seasons as a defensive tackle for the Saints before transitioning to coaching, and former Saints defensive backs coach Kris Richard, who has experience with Dallas and Seattle in addition to New Orleans.
