Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde announced on Instagram on February 4 that he will retire from the NFL after 11 seasons.
“Grateful for all the love and thanks,” Hyde shared in his post. “From Fostoria [Ohio] to Iowa City, Green Bay, and Buffalo, my goal was always to make an impact. What a journey it’s been. On to the next chapter.”
Hyde, a fifth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2013 NFL Draft, joined the Bills in 2017. In his first season with Buffalo, he earned his only Pro Bowl selection.
In 2023, Hyde recorded 54 tackles, seven passes defensed, and two interceptions over 14 games. He was added to the Bills’ practice squad in December but didn’t play in 2024-25.
Over his career, Hyde amassed 644 tackles, 66 pass deflections, 24 interceptions, 18 tackles for loss, eight fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, and a touchdown off an interception. He also returned three punts and one kickoff for touchdowns.
