MORE GOOD NEWS : Virginia Tech Football Still Pursuing De-Committed Quarterback

Last June, Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry secured his first Class of 2026 commitment when four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone from Nazareth, Pa., pledged to the Hokies. Falzone, regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in his class, was a major addition to Tech’s recruiting efforts.

However, five months later, Falzone decided to de-commit, reopening his recruitment and dealing a tough blow to Pry and his staff. Despite this, Virginia Tech has maintained communication with the talented signal-caller, keeping the door open for a possible reunion.

Hokies Offensive Coordinator Visits Falzone

On Tuesday, Virginia Tech offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen visited Falzone, as revealed on the quarterback’s social media. The visit suggests that the Hokies are still actively recruiting him, hoping to regain his commitment. Since de-committing, Falzone has received offers from several major programs and has taken visits to top schools, including Ohio State and Penn State.

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech recently landed a commitment from wide receiver Cameron Sparks from Chattanooga, Tenn., their only pledge in the Class of 2026 so far. Recruiting activity is expected to pick up significantly this spring and summer.

Virginia Tech’s Quarterback Situation

The Hokies will add freshman quarterbacks A.J. Brand from South Carolina and Kelden Ryan from Texas in the Class of 2025. They join returning quarterbacks Kyron Drones, Pop Watson, and Davi Belfort, forming a deep QB room.

Falzone’s dual-threat ability makes him an ideal fit for Virginia Tech’s offensive scheme. While his return remains uncertain, the Hokies have not given up hope. With top programs pursuing him, his decision remains up in the air. But one thing is clear—Virginia Tech is making every effort to bring him back into the fold.
