GOOD NEWS: Four-star top RB gets another Big offer.

Louisville has extended a scholarship offer to Favour Akih, a highly regarded 2026 running back from Delaware, Ohio. Akih, a 6-foot, 190-pound standout, is considered one of the top prospects in Ohio and holds a four-star rating from the 247Sports Composite. The offer came after a conversation with Louisville assistant coach Karl Maslowski.

Akih’s recruitment has gained significant momentum recently, with his total scholarship offers surpassing a dozen. In addition to Louisville, he has received offers from programs such as Indiana, Iowa State, Miami, Miami of Ohio, Michigan State, NC State, Penn State, Purdue, Toledo, USF, and West Virginia. His growing list of opportunities reflects his rising profile as a top prospect in his class.

According to 247Sports, Akih is ranked as the No. 21 running back nationally and the No. 18 overall prospect in Ohio. The industry-generated composite rankings place him as the No. 137 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 6 running back in the 2026 class. His skill set and production have made him a sought-after recruit among top programs.

As a junior, Akih delivered an impressive performance, rushing for 1,600 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns. He totaled 1,900 all-purpose yards despite missing two games due to injury, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways over just nine games. His production highlights his potential to contribute at a high level in college.

With Louisville entering the mix, the Cardinals join a competitive field of programs vying for Akih’s commitment. His combination of size, speed, and versatility makes him a valuable asset, and his recruitment is one to watch as he continues to develop.
