The Atlanta Braves and Dylan Lee have reached an agreement, avoiding arbitration. Following the announcement that the Braves had settled with Jarred Kelenic, it was revealed that Lee had also finalized a deal worth $1.025 million, according to the Braves’ official Twitter/X.
Lee’s projected arbitration salary was $1.2 million, so this deal offers good value. After a season-ending shoulder injury in 2023, Lee made an impressive return in 2024.
Over 59.2 innings, he posted a strong 2.11 ERA and a 197 ERA+ (97% above league average). When healthy, Lee has been a dependable asset in the Braves’ bullpen. In 2022, his last full season, he recorded a 2.13 ERA over 50.2 innings. With A.J. Minter potentially leaving, Lee could play a bigger role in high-leverage situations this season, especially if the Braves don’t acquire another left-handed relief pitcher.
