Virginia Tech Lands Major Commitment from 4-Star WR Over ACC Rivals
Virginia Tech football, under head coach Brent Pry, continues to shine in recruiting. Following two strong classes, the Hokies are now focused on building their Class of 2026.
After losing a key pledge from four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone of Nazareth, Pa., who de-committed in late November, Virginia Tech bounced back in a big way. Just before the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, Pry secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren during the Under Armour Next All-American Game, broadcast on ESPN2.
Warren, a standout junior from Bluffton, South Carolina, chose Virginia Tech over Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech. This season, Warren recorded 59 receptions for 846 yards and 14 touchdowns.
“Virginia Tech is a great school, and from my first visit over the summer, I knew it was where I wanted to play on Saturdays,” Warren said. “The coaching staff, especially Coach Pry, was upfront about what I needed to do to succeed there. That honesty and their overall approach really sold me.”
This is a significant win for Pry and his staff, as they out-recruited Manny Diaz at Duke, Brent Key at Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest, which recently underwent a coaching change. Warren’s commitment sets a strong foundation for Virginia Tech’s 2026 recruiting class.
