Clemson Tigers Secure Three Promising Recruits for 2025-26 Basketball Season

Clemson men’s basketball head coach Brad Brownell has announced the signing of three highly regarded recruits: Zac Foster, Chase Thompson, and Trent Steinour. These players will join the Tigers for the 2025-26 season, forming a recruiting class ranked 22nd nationally by 247Sports.

Zac Foster, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound four-star guard from Atlanta, Georgia, is rated as the No. 70 overall prospect in his class and the No. 11 combo guard. As a junior, Foster averaged 13 points, five rebounds, 3.6 assists, and two steals per game, earning All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State honors. Coming from a basketball-centric family, he chose Clemson over schools like Virginia Tech and Georgia.

Chase Thompson, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward from Glenwood, Minnesota, is a dual-sport athlete excelling in basketball and football. Ranked No. 94 nationally by Rivals and No. 1 in Minnesota by PrepHoops, Thompson averaged 19 points and 9.6 rebounds as a junior. A proven leader, he guided his team to the state tournament’s final four and selected Clemson over Iowa and West Virginia.

Trent Steinour, a 6-foot-10, 215-pound forward/center from Mooresville, North Carolina, rounds out the class. A three-star recruit and the grandson of former Clemson standout Randy Mahaffey, Steinour averaged 16 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks per game as a junior. Known for his strong work ethic, he adds size and athleticism to the Tigers’ lineup, choosing Clemson over schools like Virginia Tech and Penn State.
