JUST IN: Bills QB Josh Allen Sends embarrassing Message to Chief’s Head coach

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen expressed his gratitude to head coach Sean McDermott after the team’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Historically, McDermott has relied on his defense to secure late-game wins, but this time he put his faith in the offense—and Allen made it count.

With just over two minutes left in the game, McDermott opted to go for it on 4th-and-2 deep in Chiefs territory instead of attempting a field goal to extend the lead. Allen responded with a 26-yard touchdown run, putting the Bills ahead 30-21 and effectively sealing the win.

Post-game, Allen acknowledged McDermott’s decision. “I appreciated coach for trusting us,” Allen said.

Allen also shared his concerns about giving Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes another opportunity with the ball, referencing Mahomes’ history of clutch performances. “Any time you give the ball back to Pat (Mahomes) and that offense, down six with the game on the line, I like their odds in that situation,” Allen said. “So we wanted to make it a two-score game.”

The Bills’ defense secured the victory by intercepting Mahomes on the Chiefs’ final drive. Allen finished the game completing 27 of 40 passes for 262 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, along with 55 rushing yards and a rushing score. Running back James Cook added two touchdowns, though the Chiefs managed to contain the Bills’ rushing attack for most of the game.

The victory improved the Bills’ record to 9-2, while the Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 9-1. After the game, Mahomes expressed respect for the Bills, emphasizing there was no shame in losing to a strong team. He downplayed the impact of losing a perfect season, stating that their focus remains on a potential Super Bowl three-peat.

Buffalo’s win strengthens their lead in the AFC East, positioning them four-and-a-half games ahead of the Miami Dolphins and giving hope for the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Bills enter their bye week with their best start since 1992.
