Yankees Meet With Juan Soto Amid MLB Free Agency Frenzy
Juan Soto, one of the biggest names in Major League Baseball free agency, has a busy schedule this week, including a highly anticipated meeting with the New York Yankees on Monday. The Yankees join other top suitors vying for Soto’s signature, including the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets.
According to Bob Klapisch of *NJ.com*, the Yankees’ delegation—featuring owner Hal Steinbrenner, general manager Brian Cashman, and manager Aaron Boone—plans to present a strong case for why Soto should choose the Bronx. Their pitch will reportedly highlight the prospect of pairing with Aaron Judge and consistently contending for the playoffs.
The Yankees appear ready to make a substantial financial commitment to land Soto. Steinbrenner is said to be “all in” on signing the four-time All-Star. However, Klapisch notes that the Yankees may not emerge as the highest bidder, especially with Mets owner Steve Cohen, known for his aggressive spending, in the mix.
While it’s unclear which team currently leads the race for Soto, the Yankees are expected to make an enticing offer to the game-changing outfielder.
