Breaking News: Bills Share another Troubling injury of a key player

The Buffalo Bills announced a troubling update on rookie wide receiver, who will miss Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a wrist injury and may be sidelined for multiple weeks. Coleman sustained the injury late in last week’s victory over the Miami Dolphins after a hit from Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer. Head coach Sean McDermott indicated the injury could keep Coleman out for an extended period, though the exact timeline is uncertain.

“He’s probably going to miss more than this week,” McDermott said via the team’s website. “It’s likely to be multiple weeks, but we’re not sure how long.”

Coleman has quickly become a key target for quarterback Josh Allen, amassing 22 catches for 417 yards and three touchdowns. The Bills’ receiving corps has been hit with other setbacks recently: Amari Cooper missed last week’s game against Miami with a wrist injury, and Curtis Samuel has also missed time, while Mack Hollins has been managing a shoulder injury.

Cooper, acquired in an October 15 trade, has shown promise in his limited appearances, catching four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in his debut against the Titans. Despite the quick turnaround, Allen praised Cooper’s ability to adapt to the team’s offense.

“Guys of [Cooper’s] caliber don’t need much time to adjust,” Allen said. “His professionalism and ability to find windows and zones were impressive.”

With Coleman’s status uncertain, the Bills signed wide receiver Jalen Virgil to the active roster on Friday. Known for his speed, Virgil was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Broncos in 2022 and has made two appearances for the Bills this season.
