Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced on Friday that linebacker Terrel Bernard, wide receiver Curtis Samuel, and rookie defensive tackle DeWayne Carter will not be available for this weekend’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Bernard is sidelined with an ankle injury from the Bills’ recent 34-10 win over Tennessee. Earlier this season, he missed two games due to a pectoral injury sustained in Week 2. Before his latest injury, Bernard had recorded eight tackles and recovered a fumble.
Carter has been placed on injured reserve and is expected to miss at least four games as he undergoes wrist surgery. His potential return could coincide with the Bills’ December 1 matchup against San Francisco, following their bye week. Recently, Carter had increased his contributions, making a key tackle last game that stopped Tony Pollard for a 2-yard loss on fourth down, which helped set up a Bills scoring drive.
Samuel will be out for an unspecified period due to a pectoral injury from last Sunday. His absence means the AFC East-leading Bills (5-2) will have only four receivers available, including newly acquired Amari Cooper from Cleveland, as they prepare to face the NFC West-leading Seahawks (4-3) on Sunday.
