Just In: Jets Head Coach Confirm 3 Veteran Star That Will Be Leaving End Of The Month

3 NY Jets Players Likely to Leave by Month’s End

The NY Jets are experiencing a tumultuous period in their history, with recent events like Robert Saleh’s firing and the acquisition of Davante Adams making headlines. As the trade deadline approaches, some players may soon find themselves off the 53-man roster. Anthony Firkser was recently signed to the 53-man roster as the third tight end but has mainly contributed on special teams, logging minimal offensive snaps. With Kenny Yeboah returning from injured reserve, he could replace Firkser on the active roster. This move may result in either Brenden Bates or Zack Kuntz being released. Following Haason Reddick’s return to practice, the Jets need to make room on the active roster, likely at the expense of a defensive lineman. Undrafted rookie Braiden McGregor, who has not been active lately, is a prime candidate for removal, with the Jets potentially trying to keep him on the practice squad.

Wide receiver Mike Williams has been heavily rumored to be on the trading block since the Jets acquired Davante Adams. His struggles to connect with Aaron Rodgers and a crowded receiving corps make his future uncertain. Teams like the Steelers and Saints have expressed interest, and there’s a good chance Williams could be traded soon, particularly after his upcoming game against Pittsburgh.

As the trade deadline nears, expect the Jets to make some key roster adjustments in the coming weeks.
