Steelers Lose Key Defensive Tackle Montravius Adams for Several Weeks Due to Knee Injury
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without important rotational pass rusher and interior defensive lineman Montravius Adams for several weeks after he aggravated a knee injury during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. In response, the team re-signed nose tackle Breiden Fehoko as a backup, with no clear timeline for Adams’ return, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Adams initially hurt his knee in practice on Friday and was listed as questionable, but the Steelers cleared him to play on Saturday. However, he played only one snap before being sidelined for the rest of the game. This is the second time Adams has faced a knee injury, as he missed four weeks last season with a similar issue. He is expected to be out until at least the Steelers’ November 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

With Adams sidelined, Dean Lowry and Isaiahh Loudermilk will see more playing time, but the loss weakens Pittsburgh’s interior pass rush, especially with DeMarvin Leal already out for the season due to a neck injury.
