The Atlanta Falcons have added former first-round wide receiver Phillip Dorsett II to their practice squad, as announced on Tuesday. Dorsett was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts at No. 29 in 2015 and spent his early career there, totaling 51 catches for 753 yards and three touchdowns over two seasons. After being traded to the New England Patriots, he played three seasons, recording 73 receptions for 881 yards and eight touchdowns. Following a foot injury that
sidelined him in 2020, he bounced between teams in 2021 before having a solid 2022 with the Texans, where he caught 20 passes for 257 yards and one touchdown. Dorsett signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023 but was released after preseason, later joining the Denver Broncos’ practice squad, where he played two games without a catch. Now, he brings his impressive speed of 4.33 in the 40-yard dash to Atlanta.
