Florida Gators: Fans Mourn Graham Mertz’s Season-Ending Injury
Florida Gators quarterback Graham Mertz is out for the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL during the game against the Tennessee Volunteers. This injury could also signal the end of Mertz’s college football career. This season, he completed 76.6% of his passes for 791 yards, with six touchdowns and two
interceptions, having previously played for the Wisconsin Badgers. Freshman quarterback D.J. Lagway will take over as the starting quarterback for the rest of the season. Lagway has shown potential, completing 65.3% of his passes for 765 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions. He has also rushed for 50 yards on 24 attempts. The Gators are set to face the Kentucky Wildcats this weekend.
