Alabama football secured a recruiting victory on Tuesday by flipping tight end Marshall Pritchett’s commitment from North Carolina. A four-star prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports, Pritchett announced the switch on social media, hinting at his early enrollment in Tuscaloosa. He stated, “After lots of thought and
prayer, I am stepping away from my commitment to UNC to commit to Alabama. I’m very excited for this opportunity.” Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 225 pounds, Pritchett is ranked as the No. 22 tight end and No. 404 overall in his class. His father played at Notre Dame and in the NFL, and scouts praise Pritchett for his high football IQ and competitiveness. Currently, Alabama’s 2025 class is ranked second nationally, with Pritchett as the 23rd commitment.
