Bills’ Josh Allen Emphasizes ‘Everybody Eats’ Despite Adding Amari Cooper
The Buffalo Bills improved to 5-2 with a 34-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, showcasing a strong offensive performance. The Bills outgained the Titans 389 to 289 yards, with quarterback Josh Allen throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns, one of which went to newly acquired receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper contributed 66 yards and a touchdown on four catches in his debut.
After Cooper’s arrival, there was speculation about whether the team would maintain its “everybody eats” approach, or if Cooper would take on a dominant role similar to former top receiver Stefon Diggs. However, Allen affirmed after the game that the offensive philosophy remains unchanged.
“Our mindset has always been ‘everybody eats,'” Allen said. “Just because we bring in a guy like [Cooper] doesn’t mean we’ll force targets his way. Everyone has their role, and some weeks, certain guys will be asked to step up more than others. That’s how we’ve been playing, and today was a good example of that.”
During the game, Allen connected with seven different receivers, with four of them catching three or more passes. Rookie Keon Coleman was a standout, hauling in four catches for 125 yards. It’s evident that the Bills’ offense is looking to diversify its approach compared to previous seasons.
