Just In: Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Recruit Another Top Talented Star After Blowout Win

After the Pittsburgh Steelers’ convincing 37-15 victory, fans at Acrisure Stadium attempted to recruit New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams. Jenna Harner from WPXI-TV reported that fans chanted for Williams to don a Steelers uniform the following week.

Following the Jets’ acquisition of Davante Adams, Williams was placed on the trade block, with New York eager to make a deal. The Steelers are one of the interested teams, but both sides decided to pause negotiations until after Sunday’s game. With Pittsburgh’s win, discussions are likely to resume as they seek to bolster their receiving corps.

At 30 years old, Williams is also drawing interest from the Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints. The Steelers had previously tried to sign him in the offseason, arranging a visit before he opted for the Jets. Having dealt with a torn ACL last season, Williams might still be regaining his form after missing the summer program; he managed only 15 receiving yards in the game and has totaled 160 yards for the season.

The Steelers are looking for a complementary wide receiver to pair with George Pickens, who had an impressive 111 receiving yards and a touchdown on Monday. Adding Williams could enhance the team’s aerial attack, aligning well with Pickens and quarterback Russell Wilson’s style.
