BREAKING NEWS: Mike Macdonald Optimistic About Falcon’s key man Injury

Injury Update: Mike Macdonald Optimistic About DK Metcalf’s Knee Injury

Mike Macdonald provided an encouraging update on DK Metcalf’s knee injury, saying it “doesn’t look too bad.” Metcalf was carted off the field during the Seattle Seahawks’ 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7 after taking a hit from Falcons safety Justin Simmons while trying to catch a pass from Geno Smith. The awkward fall out of bounds caused concern, but the injury may not be as serious as initially feared.

In a post-game press conference, Macdonald explained that Metcalf had “banged his knee a little bit” but indicated that the situation isn’t as alarming as it seemed. Metcalf exited in the fourth quarter after making four receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown.

It’s still uncertain whether Metcalf will practice ahead of Seattle’s big matchup with the Buffalo Bills. However, his history suggests optimism: a similar knee issue in 2022 against the Chargers saw him miss no time. So far, Metcalf has missed only one game in his entire career.
