Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Najee Harris appeared on the injury report Wednesday with a rib injury. While Harris didn’t practice, this aligns with the veteran rest days he’s been receiving as the team’s primary back.
Harris is coming off his best performance of the season, rushing for 106 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders. The injury is not considered serious, and he’s expected to play in the upcoming game.

Several other players also missed practice, including linebacker Nick Herbig, running back Cordarrelle Patterson, and safety Damontae Kazee. Meanwhile, tight end MyCole Pruitt and linebacker Alex Highsmith are making progress in their recoveries and are likely to return for the game against the New York Jets. Harris has averaged 3.9 yards per carry this season, and the team hopes his breakout game against the Raiders will reignite their previously stagnant running attack.
